Special Conveyor Belts
Vacuum filter belts separate solids and liquids. The belts form a continuous circulation channel that retains and transports the filter bed, filter cake, suspension and washing solvent, and also removes the filtrate.
The force of gravity and the vacuum generated cause the filter to be diverted through the slots in the belt and through the weep holes in the center of the belt. Along the path of the belt, the filter layer directs the fluid portion of the filter into the cross-slots of the belt.
The filter is drained through a longitudinally positioned vacuum box and a defined ribbon perforation. The pre-dried filter cake is thrown over the curved pulley. Vacuum filter belts are in service in vacuum belt filter units used in mineral, ore, chemical, dyestuff, foodstuff, coal and paper processing, as well as flue gas desulfurization systems and fertilizer production, etc.
